Good Morning World!
What a beautiful day here in the Wonderful Willamette Valley of
western Oregon!!
I was up late last night (this morning) trying to get caught up on some
of my e-mail backlog so I slept in a little late this morning, didn't
wake up until nearly 0700.
It was starting to get light and the sun was already coming up over
the hills. By the time I was out of the shower it was shining brightly.
Now it's nearly 10:00 and the sky is 'severe clear' out here at "Happy
Acres Ranch". I fixed a nice breakfast and decided to fix a pot of my
favorite Spanish coffee that I brought back last time I was over there.
I never have been able to get the 'formula' right but this morning it
was perfect so I'm sitting here now enjoying the last of it and
listening to Martin Denny's "Paradise" CD playing in the background.
(My favorite music for my little piece of 'paradise' here at the ranch.)

The temperature is into the mid fortys already and the sun is
'glistening' on the moisture on the many tall fir trees that I can see
out on the hillside.
What a perfect day it would be to go 'couping' through the sky, but
alas, my IA has decided to take the rest of the year off to get his
Christmas things done.
My coupe is about ready to fly again, just re-install the wings and
do the few last minute things and the logbooks and it'll be airworthy
again. My class III expires this month but until my eye gets better I
know I can't pass the vision test so I'll just have to let it expire. I
think it's better to 'forget' to renew it for a month or two than to
have it on record that I've failed it and then jump through all the
hoops to try and get it back. (I think this is called the 'gray' area
isn't it?) ; - )
I'll get along now and start on this months OEE newsletter. If I
can't fly I can at least write about it and plan for our next fly-in. I
hope the weather is something like today for our next meet.
Have a wonderful day folks and if your weather isn't quite as good
as mine is today, I hope it soon changes for you. When I went out a
little while ago and filled the grain pan for the deer it looked and
felt like spring out there!!

Merry Christmas everyone.........
