  Although Alon may have tied the "N" number to the serial number when the
airplane was built, that was 35 years ago.  A great deal of water has run
under the bridge since then. Owners have the right to chnge "N" numbers on
request. Like John Kennedy, he had his 182 changed to his birthday and
initials.  In addition, some of these airplanes my have had data plates
changed without it being entered into the logs.  After 35 years, all we
can
can expect to accomplish 100% is by tracking these airplanes is if they
are
still in existance. Even then, that roster can change before it is
published
by losing an airplane in a total loss fire or accident,
I do like the idea of keeping a record, or roster of this classic
airplane. 
It can only enhance the owners to take extr special care of the worthy
airplane.
