Craig, I have had the KX-125 for four years in my Coupe with no problems whatsoever. Every time I do a VOR check, it's right on the money. Definitely think that the digital readout is far superior to the Nav head. Air to air and air to ground transmissions are excellent with no degradation of signal noticeable. Don't let people tell you it's underpowered, I've punched through saturated Bravo airspace while others are still waiting for replies from ATC. IMHO it's one of the best buys in avionics!
