Anything should work well, but I would guess the heavier (up to a certain
point) the better!  I had a Kennon cover (cockpit) for the coupe when I
had
one and it was a good thickness canvas.  Make sure the cover is on tight,
so
as not to let any part of it, including and especially the straps, whip
around in the wind.  If you could be in a position where the north wind is
blocked, even better.  Where in TX are you located?
