Just so you know how to avoid it in the future, a charged battery will not
freeze at normal winter temps. I don't know what the limit is, but it's well
below -20F. Something must have discharged it.
As far as a replacement, there are very few players any more. One TAP
advertiser has one, but IIRC, it's not that much less than the mane brands.
I've had a Gill for about 4 years with no problems.
