Last week I designed and built some nifty wheel covers (hub caps) for the
mains on my 415 D. The total cost including the allen head mounting bolts,

the valve stem extensions, and the aluminum for the covers themselves was

around $15.oo and the labor involved was about an hour including priming
the
parts for paint. In my opinion, the total cost for parts and labor was
around $30.00 I painted mine to match the color of my coupe, an they add

quite nicely to the overall appearance. Also, they should help keep the
crud
out of the mains bearings.
I am wondering if there might be a market for some more of these hubcaps
out
there on the list. Maybe there are some of you coupe drivers that do not
have the means for working aluminum, or just don't want to be burdoned
with
finding the necessary stuff required. If so would anyone out there be
willing to spring $30 bucks a pair for some nifty covers that help the
looks
of the coupe.
