Stefan, I fly my Alon from a 2000 ft grass strip with no problem.  The
grass 
needs to be kept short and the strip rolled occasionaly, but watch the 
density altitude on a hot day.  Grass will require more take off distance
on 
normal days, and when it gets hot there may be days when you don't want to

take a passenger and full fuel.  Otherwise, go for it.  Just having the 
hanger is worth it.  Fuel might be the only other issue.  Some grass
strips 
don't have fuel available.  I have a 500 gal tank on stilts which is very 
handy 
($1.48/gal too).  Otherwise you might have to stop and refuel at the local

airport.
