Eat your hearts out, Coupe memorabilia collectors. Today my son presented
me
with page 123 out of the July 1945 "Flying" magazine - a full page
advertisement for the Ercoupe - all framed and ready to hang on the hanger

wall or wherever. The ad is by Engineering and Research Corporation,
Riverdale, Maryland, "Makers of gun-turrets for Navy bombers, propeller
profilers, automatic punches, riveters, stretch-press, metal shrinkers and

sheet metal formers." The ad extols all the good things we know about the

Coupe - tri-cycle landing gear, certified spin-proof, etc. The empty
weight
is 725# with a 65 HP engine. My! How we have grown over the years!! My
empty weight is 924# !! In those days you really could carry two, full
fuel,
50# baggage in 1260# gross. Anyway, it's a nice little item, obtained
from
the internet, maybe from one of you?? And I thank my son, who likes my
Coupe
almost as much as his Grumman Tiger. Wayne N3544H
