This guy has been around a long time. I used to go over
to UC Davis and see all kinds of things he'd try to build, like
little saucers with many engines all around the edge.
I always thought he was sort of nutty, it seemed like his hype was
always way ahead of his machines. I really do think he's trying
to perfect them.
The picture with the caption "Prof's Flying Machine" at:

shows a fabric-covered version that used to be kept in a hangar
at Davis with one of my dad's Cubs, in about 1966.
I was about six then, and I used to go climb in it and pretend I was
flying. I'm surprised I never punched holes in the fabric or
anything. It was without Moller's knowledge, of course.
I sure hope his engines are reliable.
