Lynn.... On the Alon the battery is under the pilots seat, the cutout relay is on the left side of the firewall in the engine compartment and of course the switch is on the left side of the panel as someone mentioned. Ths shortened the cables, improved the CG and probably helped get the added 50# of Gross Weight(from 1400 to 1450#). The Alon has a 35Amp. electrical system and it helped it.
I had two Coupes with the switch on the panel, put one there myself. For wiring convenience it puts the switch on the right side of the panel. The original location works fine and in my opiinion it's not worth the trouble of moving it unless you have some unusual baggage compartment switch location problem. Best Regards.....Cliff
