Jolly:
Talked with my partner, and he agrees that we should do it.  So the check will be in the mail tomorrow.  Now that's  the mag, misc. parts incl. the R&L gears, right?
The fly-in was great!!  But those slicks are going fast.  When I was holding short and running up, at Muncie In., the left one dropped off pretty bad, and started to cause back-fire.  Thats the first time for that. normally I wouldn't have taken off that way, but we only had a 20 Min. flight, and I was able to develop full power on both without backfiring.  In fact we experienced the best ROC we've achieved in awhile. ( with the windows open yet!!). There was another significant point also, we knew which mag was bad, and  didn't have to "Search" if we lost it. Since this is an inconsistent problem and only occurs when it's hot and under load, I have to believe it's the soft coils that Slick uses, breaking down.  ( You get what you pay for)
These mags have much less than the reputed 500 hrs. on them.  Well you know how we both feel about Slicks, so I guess I"m not telling you anything.  Hope those Eismanns get here soon.
Have a great day, and Happy Flying!!!!
