Maybe I have been on the list to long or maybe I am just having a bad day... But a lot of traffic has been on this about this retractable Ercoupe
It is my understanding that this Ercoupe is just a pile of parts scattered all over independence airport, and that Larry is a aircraft mechanic and could put it together and get it in flying condition. If he could find all the parts. Am I wrong. Don't get me wrong I have met Larry, and I learned more from him in 15 min about Ercoupes then I learned in a year owning one. I know Percy had a line on a pre-war coupe offered for around 5k, I think this would be a better value and you could at least find parts for it. BUT...... If you want to hunt down a real value, some where out there is a 4 place Ercoupe. Any way the retractable Ercoupe is not a urban legend but it is real close since it is not complete. Maybe Larry could find all the parts and get it flying.... at least then we would have something to talk about. -----Original Message----- From: Percy Pwood Georgia Wood <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: susan dawson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Friday, April 30, 1999 10:28 PM Subject: Re: RETRACTABLE ERCOUPE >You're so right, Jolly. > That Retractable Ercoupe of Larrys is a real history piece.
