Its true! N93443 has been fixed and is buzzing the blue again. The spar

cap hole saw cut has been patched with a 12" mending plate and a 337
approval. Boy did we learn something about a&p's. The story goes that
the
mechanic we have been going to for the last year insisted on changing the
spar cap to finish the annual.($5000.) We have already invested $2000. in
this annual and still did not have a airworthy plane. Steve happened to
stop
at Alan Buckners at Chandler-Fresno and asked him about the problem. This

guy has a museum full of old planes and he came to our rescue with a
mending
plate and about 4hrs work. Of course we still had to get a second annual
by
Alan to be airworthy again but it was worth it to keep our coupe. The
annual
was done last night and we went to the first airshow of the season at
Reedley
airport today. It was like a old friend came back from the grave. I want
to
Thank all the coupers for the help on the problem and thank those interest
in
buying N93443 as a project. Sorry, but our baby is not for sale anymore
and
we hope to see you at the next show.
