To those who are fiddling with old magnetos: You might want to look at the deal Slick has, where you can get two mags and a new harness for something like $800. They give you a $150 rebate for your old non-Slick mags (even if they are absolute junk, burned-up and have the harness cut off, like the ones I sent them).
When I did this about 4 months ago, they didn't offer new gears, so you'll have to use your old gears if they aren't too pitted. They were talking about making the gears someday, though. Maybe they have them now. Since there are two kinds of accessory cases for the C-series (that I know of), you need to be sure you get the correct mag kit so that the gear will extend the right distance into the case.
