Tom;
Thanks for the advice. I figured that would help, so I ordered 600-6-6ply
rated tires, which should be delivered by Wed. I'll get some help from
them, but I'm taking off the same size which are understandably quite
worn,
sidewall cracked, and low on pressure. When checking on some things (I
just
recently became involved with this Coupe) I wonder about the thought
patterns of the A&P that put it through it's annual last fall. It's been
30
years since I've touched an airplane mechanically,(Went to school in '59'
for my A&E but because of changes in plans never practiced as such except
for myself and my own aircraft) and some things change, but not the
basics
of safe operation. I remember when an owner could leave their machine
with
the mechanic and trust his .judgement. But I've become and advocate of
doing as in my case, your own annual, and periodic repairs then having it
signed off, or the pilot/owner getting involved with the annual with their
aircraft manual and the A&P. Well, enough on that soapbox. I'll check on
the nose wheel, and the the oleos themselves when I mount the tires.
Thanks
again.
