The event is expected to officially start Thursday though some of us will start trickling in earlier, a few as early as the previous Sunday. Probably several will arrive on Wednesday. That's when I plan to arrive.
Beginning Thursday, we'll start to have tours or events for co-pilots such as historical and/or shopping tours. I think the last Coupe Capers had a list of these events on the pre-registration form. Also beginning Thursday, we'll start to have a seminars. We don't have a lot of seminars scheduled each day, just one or perhaps two. Friday and Sunday, we'll have seminars by the Wrights about maintenance and common upgrades. There's a poker run planned for, I think, Saturday. The pool party will be at the Holiday Inn on (I think) Friday. There'll be a lot of looking at planes and discussing problems, improvements, etc. The worst attendance I can remember was about 35 Coupes, the best was around 119 I think. 45-75 is more normal. We seem to be getting more interest this year because we're doing this at the low end of the budget spectrum. There'll be sandwiches and such on the field for lunch and dinner will usually be at the field. The Saturday Banquet will be at the Holiday Inn. Banquet attendance runs from 150-250. The official departure day is Monday though a lot of people will take off on Sunday to get back to work. The last seminar on Sunday starts at 1:00 p.m. Main attraction to me: seminars and talking Coupes with other Coupers. -- Ed Burkhead East Peoria, Ill. N3802H, 415-D
