That's the way they came from Mooney. It might raise eyebrows if I vented the wing caps, not that I am adverse to raising eyebrows :-P The big reason is that the tanks would overflow if the caps were vented. The fuel in the header slowly drains throught the pump into the mains over a period of days. My pump outlet tube goes to the bottom of the header, not the top.
