Some people are interested. Another patch set for this was posted some months back. I certainly think it would be useful, especially in authpipe where general policy logic can be implemented. Being able to count and limit brute force attacks from a particular IP address would be something that could be done with this too. However, it's up to MrSam whether to add this feature, and in what manner.
