And what exactly makes you believe the bug is in Courier and not Outlook?
Which one is actually freezing up? Do other, more standards compliant
clients like Mozilla Thunderbird have similar issues?
the outlook has been used for a while and recently I switched to use
courier-imap for just less than one month. Maybe previously I am lucky and
didn't get such a spamming email with such strange attachment in the past.
The mail is stuck with outlook. I don't have the same email to test with
thunderbird.
I believe it might work with thunderbird. However, we have about 40 Windows
computers and it is impossible to ask all of them to switch to thunderbird
right away. I noticed that devocot has special configurations to work with
outlook. it is nice if courier-imap has some special settings that can get
around this problem.
Anyway, I have enforced my mail server to reject attachment with long file
name. It should not be a problem any more.
