Please make your replies on list for the benefit of the archives.  FC3 is
old and unsupported.  Strongly recommend you move to FC5 or choose a
platform with a stabler release period like RedHat Enterprise Linux or
CentOS.  The gamin in FC3 should work fine, make sure it is the latest
update version...

"rpm -e --force" will do it... or put together a seperate box for building
the rpms (this is what Sam, the developer recommends).  A configure option
has been discussed and rejected in the past, check the archives.

That should solve the problem as well assuming the clients honor the
CAPABILITES listing and don't try an IDLE on their own, bad client
behavior isn't exactly unheard of in the IMAP world...
