Then change the client setting.  In TB it's under account settings, server
settings, advanced.  I recommend a more sane setting like 2 or 3 for max
cached server connections.

If you're not using Webmail (from which many connection come from the same
IP to the IMAP server) you could and should drop MAXPERIP to something
more sane like 5 to prevent one machine from DoSing the server.
