However, 1. you also need to be running with a fairly recent version of courier-authlib 2. you need to have the authmysql module installed and working in the first place To check (2), after you have turned on debug logging, stop and restart authdaemond, then look in the debug logs before you send any queries. If you see something like Oct 17 11:25:37 commodore authdaemond: Installing libauthmysql Oct 17 11:25:37 commodore authdaemond: libauthmysql.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory then either libauthmysql.so is not loaded, or the libraries it depends on are not in the run-time linker path.
