Looks like a last-but-one Red Hat RHAS/RHEL4 kernel.

Looks like a last-edition RHEL/RHAS5 or CentOS5.

Dunno much about RHEL/RHAS6 or CentOS 5 up to date, I'm going to soon.
In the mean time, all Couriers build fine and work with no problem on
Fedora FC6 (this machine, upgrade from RHAS4 and about as near
RHEL/RHAS5 and CentOS 5 as one can get). I've a CentOS 5 machine
running, but haven't put Courier onto it, since it's running Desknow
with that's own POP3 server.

During the week I'll probably be installing a new CentOS 5 machine with
Courier all (apart from the MTA, which will be Postfix 2.4).

In the mean time, it looks as if your own provider is letting you down
heavily, take your problem up with him - it's unlikely to be a Courier
thing.

Best,
