Courier has its own authldap module. If it won't do what you want, and you
want to write your own authentication module, you'll need to read the source
and work it out from there. Or look at writing a plugin to authpipe. It
should be relatively straightforward to write an authpipe module which
invokes "legacy" authentication modules.
