What makes you think it's "ignored"? If you think there is a problem, then demonstrate it. > the LDAP_MAILROOT can use to set a absolute path for the LDAP_HOMEDIR. > that i understand, but why ignore LDAP_MAILDIR the LDAP_MAILROOT param? > > Authenticated: sysusername=<null>, sysuserid=5000, sysgroupid=5000, > homedir=/home/vmail/#####.###/danfis/, [EMAIL PROTECTED], > fullname=Fischer Daniel, maildir=#####.###/danfis/, quota=<null>, > options=<null> > Authenticated: clearpasswd=passw, passwd=<null> > imapd: chdir #####.##/danfis/: No such file or directory That's correct. On the account you've set homedir=/home/vmail/#####.###/danfis/ maildir=#####.###/danfis/ To locate a maildir, courier does a chdir(homedir) followed by chdir(maildir). In this case the maildir is a relative path. So you've told it to try /home/vmail/#####.###/danfis/#####.###/danfis/ The solution is to choose one or the other. That is, you can set maildir to ".", or you can set homedir to "/home/vmail". Or, you can point both homedir and maildir to the same LDAP attribute, which contains the full absolute path. I think you should also be able to leave maildir completely unset, and then set MAILDIRPATH="." in pop3d, imapd and sqwebmaild config files. I've never used LDAP_MAILROOT, but I believe it's a prefix for the homedir only. That is, courier does chdir(LDAP_MAILROOT/homedir) followed by chdir(maildir) Brian. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
