Hello,

I have one hardware balancer.

I have one ldap server (with mailhost attribute defined)

I have two qmail-courierimap-ldap servers. qmail-ldap-20060201 and courier-imap-4.1.3

server A --> contains [EMAIL PROTECTED]

server B --> contains [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Suddenly, server B is down. I have to active server A like server B identity with PROXY_HOSTNAME, etc....

But before I can resolve the problem somebody send one email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] but server B is down!!! It doesn´t matter but the email is queued in server A. This ok!!!

But before I can resolve the problem [EMAIL PROTECTED] tries to login webmail (for example in squirrelmail)... The following thing happens:

userB login against VIRTUAL IP of hardware balancer.

hardware balancer sends the request to serverA because serverB is down.

serverA try to make PROXY to serverB ==> ERROR because serverB is down.

But this ERROR is login failed. This messages can confuse userB. He thinks that his password is bad but he doesn´t image that the true problem is that serverB is down.

So I want to do that this ERROR doesn´t be login failed in order not to confuse userB.

Any ideas?
