I am sad to say inter7 has not responded to my query.

This is a real shame.  I have grown to trust All parts of my email
system (qmail+Courier-imap+vpopmail) for a decade, and it's not dieing
for a good reason.

I have passed an Intro to C class, and would love to help mend this rift
between courier-authlib and vpopmail if I am able.

I will call inter7 next week, as in the past they have been very
friendly and helpful.
