Why are you asking me about this? I didn't write this script. Courier-IMAP's scripts do not use "tcpsvd", whatever the hell it is.
Why don't you ask whoever wrote it, what it does, instead of me.

No. I didn't write it. Ask whoever wrote it, to explain it to you. Courier-IMAP can be downloaded from here: http://www.courier-mta.org/download.php, and not some other web site. If you have questions about some code you see on some other site, you should ask whoever wrote it.
I really have no idea why you are asking someone to explain someone else's code to you. That makes no logical sense, whatsoever.
