Ok, i get it, so if i delete NAMESPACE advertisement in the imapd.conf - that error must go away? Even if the "index" file is exists at the  /usr/local/etc/courier-imap/shared/ ?

The stock Courier-IMAP package does not install a configuration file named "imapd.conf", that must come from the custom package you're using. But if this file is just a copy of the imapd configuration file, removing NAMESPACE should stop the client from autodiscovering the shared folder namespace.

However, this will also likely prevent new accounts from being automatically configured with the server's INBOX namespace, requiring manual configuration when setting up each new account; so this is not recommended.

The error is not due to the existence of that file. The contents of the file are probably not valid, or reference nonexistent mailboxes. The format of the shared index file is described here:
