Bill, well, I have a filtering system that I'm quite happy of. It consists of a Sophos-AV shared object called dynamically from a "global" Courier filter which is loaded by courierfilter.
However, I have to use a mime utility that I previously used to unencode html "multipart/form-data" forms. It usually works, but, for example, it rejects the W32/Badtrans-B virus before submitting it to the a-v scan as it misses two more dashes to terminate the last boundary. The rest (unzipping etcetera) is being done by calls to Sophos' stuff. I'm planning to publish that code as soon as I have some spare time to write an html page for it. I would propose it as an alternate way for anti virus filtering. I guess the main stream is to add a dedicated server for that. I don't know what exactly you are looking for as I cannot understand the term "finageling" (not anything related to a fin problem, is it?) Ciao Ale > Hello! > > This is really a request for comments.
