In the postgres 7 config file, the option for a local socket wants a
directory (by default /tmp) in which to place the unix domain sockets.

However the courier authpgsqlrc file is asking for a specific file. This
filename changes between postgres runs. I've tested putting in, i.e. /tmp
as the socket option but (assuming everything else is working properly) this
isn't authenticating users. The only message in my maillog when I do an
expn is:

Dec 11 06:24:02 localhost courieresmtpd: started,ip=[::ffff:64.81.193.101]

which is OK as far as it goes, but my expn isn't finding the data that I've
put in my database (currently 2 test users: testuser and
