I'm trying to get mysqlauth to work with Courrier-IMAP 1.4.0, MySQL 3.23.41 on RH7.2. I did an RPM install of MySQL, and that's working fine as far as I know. I did a source install of Courier-IMAP, and it's up and running. The problem I'm having is, I can't seem to authenticate with authmysql. I've configured authmysqlrc, and have AUTHMODULES="authmysql" in /etc/imapd. The mysql database/table was created as outlined in the README. When I send a LOGIN command to port 143 via telnet, it takes, then a couple of seconds later, comes back with "NO Login failed." I'm using clear text passwords, so I know they match. Question 1: Any gotchas I'm unaware of? Question 2: Does Courrier-IMAP keep an error log of any sort, so I can see where and what's failing? Question 3: Any suggestions on how I might be track down the problem?
