Hi,

Apologies if this answer is located somewhere on the internet already
I'm having trouble finding any references.

I've installed the courier imap daemon on a redhat 7.2 install.
It is using the authpgsql module.

I can authenticate from the database no problem but everytime I
authenticate correctly I get a message similar to the following in
my 'maillog'

Dec 14 10:15:28 stage imapd: chdir: Permission denied

It then immediately closes the tcp connection.
If I authenticate myself using an incorrect username/password it does
the right thing and says no login.

I have looked at the query that is being sent to the postgres server
and that works no problem..

The home directory that I've specified in the database row also exists.
The daemon is running as root isnt it? Or does it drop its privs or
something before changing dirs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

Chris
