In Outlook 2000 click Edit, Purge Deleted Messages.  That removes them from
the server.

Hi Joe,

As the tags say it, the message is Seen and Trashed...  If you want to
remove it from the server, you have to purge your message...  This is what I
have to do with Microsoft Outlook Express...  I don't know MS Outlook but I
assume that it is the same way...  You use here a characteristic of an IMAP
server, which permits you to mark for deletion and then really delete the
message...
