Basically (I'm not the developer, I just use this functionality), support for the IMAP commands GETQUOTA and GETQUOTAROOT were added. They operate in a fairly straight-forward way, and for the most part all you need to know is to log in to the server, then issue a ". GETQUOTA ROOT" command. If you've got maildirquota support setup (IMPORTANT: Your mailer must be creating the maildirsize files), then courier will parse it and return the quota used and quota total.
