Hi there, I hope that some people can take some time and try to think with me on the following question:
I have been running Qmail (Mailbox format) + Qpopper as pop server for the past 2 years without problems on a Linux machine.. This Linux machine does email for multiple domains using the virtualdomain file from qmail... There is one particular domain for which it will be very useful if I could use IMAP instead of POP to read the email.. I went looking and found that Courier IMAP goes very well with Qmail.... I read in the docs that Courier only works (well) with the Maildir format that Qmail can also store his mail to.... My question: Looking at various step-by-step installtion docs it looks that I should first change qmail so that mail is written to the Maildir format before I go further.. Is there an possibility that I can do this only for 1 domain and leave the other domains on Mailbox format which will prevent me from changing the pop software and some other nasty upgrading of email client software..? I am looking for the shortest path to get IMAP access for only a few (maybe one) user(s).. The other users will still use POP to download there email.. If some people can give me some suggestions this would be very useful for me..
