Hi everyone, I'm running Courier 0.37.0 with the IMAP server. I've got a shared maildir with a number of folders. I've created a new folder with:
maildirmake -f myfolder -s read, group . Which sets the folder up with read access for the group, but no access for others. The problem is that I can only see the folder through IMAP if I set the group of .myfolder to my own group. If I chgrp -R to another group that I'm in, the folder is no longer visible via IMAP. This appears to be related to what I set my gid to in userdb. If I change the gid to match the group of the folder, I can see it again. I'm surprised by this, since the imapd process itself is running as me (I'm using userdb for CRAM-MD5, but I have a system account as well), so I thought it should be able to read the folder. My account is definitely in the appropriate group, and I can read the contents of the folder locally. So I haven't been able to make an IMAP folder that can only be read by members of a particular group. Can anyone suggest a way to do this? Thanks. -- Lachlan O'Dea <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Computer Associates Pty Ltd Webmaster Vet - Anti-Virus Software http://www.vet.com.au/ _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
