I don't use the Courier MTA, so I don't know if this is possible or
even probable. Anyway, most network daemons allow you to specify
which interfaces/addresses it listens on. Could you have configured
the MTA to only listen on localhost (127.0.0.1)? On Linux and
FreeBSD, netstat will tell which programs are listening on which
interfaces.
