Did you even try to check out the main website? I mean really .. The very first thing I would do and always do is enter http://whatever_project_i_am_interested_to_learn_about.tls Oh yeah don't use underscores. Hey and after trying the concepts then post. That is what I do anyhow. Mind you I am no Thomas Dickens. > Also, the reason why I am trying to learn up this app is largely because of > its support for maildir and its perl scripting support. Can anyone tell me > if courier-imap4 is ready for production use? Last time I checked Courier-Imap is/was the only IMAP server that focused on Maildir/ format. Well PERL is supported by @ least any *NIX based OS as well as any win?whatever-their-called ;-) Yes,yes, yes it is even better than the proprietary versions of imapd if that is your inference. Actually FWIW it is the best imap server I have ever implemented. If production use means that it comes with a fancy glossy or religious retoric well then 'no' $COURIER_IMAP = "Just the facts\n"; oo starting to sound like I really like it. Courier-Imap supports at least all well known mail servers AFAIK as long as it is not windows based. Actually imapd has nothing to do with mail transfer MTA so that was not important. Finally if you are from windowsland note that open source has been ready for production use for at least 5 - 10 years. (depending on how you define it. ) Well good luck. You will have fun with Courier-Imap The enjoyable kind. -- /* Security is a work in progress - dreamwvr */ # # Note: To begin Journey type man afterboot, man help, man hier[.] # // "Who's Afraid of Schrodinger's Cat?" /var/(.)?mail/me \? ;-] _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
