Hi there,

I know very little about the internals of SSL, so you'll have to excuse my
rather basic approach to this problem.

I've got courier-mta up and running with virtual domains, and everything
works lovely.. apart from secure connections. Eg, I can pop3 in, but as
soon as I ask Outlook or a similar client to connect using SSL, it
fails, and in /var/log/maillog, I get;

pop3d-ssl: starttls: accept: error:140760FC:SSL
routines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:unknown protocol

I've performed some basic checks, like making sure the port is open, that
courier installed a pop3d.pem file during installation, and the config for
pop3d-ssl seem sensible, even if I dont quite understand everything its
talking about.

So, it looks like courier picked up OpenSSL, and it seems to have
installed everything it needs... but how do I get Outlook to establish a
connection?

Any help greatfully received,

Bryan.
