Hi There,
I am using the following setup:
courier-imap-1.4.0
horde-2.0
imp-3.0
qmail-1.03
vpopmail-5.0.1
authmysql
I have problem with login to IMAP-COURIER as a
VIRTUAL DOMAIN user. Meaning user whose
account was created using the vopopmail's command
vadduser. In the courier-imap logs (/var/log/mailog)
this was I could see when a virtual domain user
login in.
Jan 27 13:21:18 fort imapd: Failed to create cache
file: ./tmp/1012098078.12600_imapuid_0.fort
Jan 27 13:21:18 fort imapd: Error: No such file or directory Jan 27 13:21:18 fort imapd: Failed to create cache file: ./tmp/1012098078.12600_imapuid_0.fort "/var/log/maillog" [readonly] 1880L, 145176C Jan 30 09:38:21 fort imapd: LOGOUT, user=timlim, ip=[::ffff:210.9.116.6], headers=65, body=0 I have same problem whether if I login using imp or
Microsoft Outlook. From this, it is clear a
case of imap-courier setup that I have do not cater
to the need of Virtual domain user.
The result of this problem is, the user would
still able to login, but the user email would not show up in the
INBOX.
Despite this problem, I can still able to
create any Subfolders for the user and they appeared to be created in the right
place
in the virtual user directory. Going into the
user Maildir/cur directory, I could there are mails delivered by
qmail waiting to be
read by the user. There are absolute no
problem in term of permission or missing directory as you can
see my virtual user directory listing
listed below.

with user account has /home/username/Maildir dir) has no such
problem.
This looks like it is a definite courier-imap setup
issue. Would appreciate if anyone can
help.
Thanks
