Hi there, Thanks previously for the snippets of help for getting pop3/imap working over SSL, working great. My problem now is SMTP! I thought that it would just be the same process;
populate /etc/courier/esmtpd.cnf with meaningful data rm /usr/lib/courier/share/psmtpd.pem mkesmtpdcert restart courier But, MS Outlook still fails to establish communication. In maillog, all I get is a little message saying "couriersmtpd: started,....". Outlook informs me that my mailserver reported an 'Internal Error'. But, I can see STARTTLS is advertised by telneting into port 25 manually; 220 xpt.nsl.co.uk ESMTP EHLO test.com 250-xpt.nsl.co.uk Ok. 250-AUTH LOGIN 250-AUTH=LOGIN X-NETSCAPE-HAS-BUGS 250-STARTTLS 250-XVERP=Courier 250-XEXDATA 250-XSECURITY=NONE,STARTTLS 250-PIPELINING 250-8BITMIME 250-SIZE 250 DSN STARTTLS 220 Ok Am I missing something?
