The problem I'm dealing with is with the maildirquota for a server that is used by over 20.000 users. I've encountered that the maildirquota is modified whenever a user marks a message as deleted, so that his maildirquota size is increased even though the message is still there. If the user doesn't expugne his folders he would have an increased quota without losing his messages. How can I modify the behavior of courier-imap so that it would increase maildirquota only in case of expungning the folders?
