Hi everybody,
I just installed courier on freebsd, with authpgsql.
I inserted one user into the pgsql table, using:
insert into mail_users (id,clear,name,home) values
('[EMAIL PROTECTED]','XXXX','Mathias
Picker','/var/courier/domains/virtual-earth.de/mathiasp');
This sort of works, since I can use my usual mail client to send mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Looking at
/var/courier/domains/virtual-earth.de/mathiasp/Maildir/new I can verify
that it was delivered to the right place.
Now the problems begin:
a) courier gives a 550 user unknown for [EMAIL PROTECTED],
even though I have
[EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
in the alias file and ran makealiases.... (I tried various combinations
with and without domainname)
b) I cannot log into my mailbox, neither through imap nor through
webmail. I see nothing in the logs from webmail, and imapd gives the not
too helpful:
Feb 24 18:56:23 mars imapd: Connection, ip=[212.89.109.98]
Feb 24 18:56:31 mars imapd: LOGIN FAILED, ip=[212.89.109.98]
Feb 24 18:56:34 mars imapd: LOGOUT, ip=[212.89.109.98]
Is there a way to get more infos about what is going on, e.g. _why_ the
login failed??
