Because there isn't. The makealiases(8) man page clearly tells you:
@domain: user
This special entry results in any recipient address of the
form foo@domain to be rewritten as user-foo@me, where me
is the hostname of the machine, which we expect to be a
local domain.
Note, that it says 'foo@domain' is rewritten as 'localuser-foo', not
'localuser'.
'localuser' is then free to create $HOME/.courier-foo to provide mail
delivery instructions for the address 'foo@domain', and
$HOME/.courier-default will be the default mail delivery instruction for all
addresses that do not have explicit ones installed.
