Hello.

I'm trying to setup relay-ctrl-3.0 on a Mandrake Linux machine running
qmail 1.03 and courier-imap 1.4.3. I want to allow both
imap-before-smtp and pop-before-smtp. The server is hosting multiple
virtual domains.

In /etc/relay-ctrl/RELAY_CTRL_DIR, /var/spool/relay-ctrl is set as the
relay-ctrl directory. When I login, a file in the spool dir is created
owned by the user/group of the user which has just logged in (or rather,
owned by the "administration" account for this vdomain).

When I later try to login using a different user/domain, I'll get the
following error message:

fetchmail: POP3< relay-ctrl-allow[21474]: Warning: Could not create '213.20.24.233'..
fetchmail: Unknown login or authentication error on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I suppose, this is because relay-ctrl-allow cannot create/touch the file
/var/spool/relay-ctrl/213.20.24.233 as it belongs to a different
user/group and since the file has 644 rights, it cannot do this. I
tried to fix this by setting the setgid bit on the directory, but this
did not help :(

Well, I'm out of ideas - how do I have to setup relay-ctrl to allow
pop-before-smtp and imap-before-smtp (using courier-imap 1.4.3) on
virtual domains?

Thanks for any hints,

Alexander Skwar
