Hi All,

I had posted this question to the list and got no answer from the mailing list. I re post it again with some more information, I have tried this with Netscape 4.x and have had a weired mangled lookingish webpage. This occurs on webmail.inter7.com as well as the installation at our site. All other browsers are fine.

Our web server keeps giving us the following in the error log:

[Thu Mar 14 00:24:24 2002] [error] [client 142.66.35.144] script not found or unable to stat: /var/www/cgi-bin/bg.gif
[Thu Mar 14 00:24:28 2002] [error] [client 142.66.35.144] script not found or unable to stat: /var/www/cgi-bin/bg.gif
[Thu Mar 14 00:24:29 2002] [error] [client 142.66.35.144] script not found or unable to stat: /var/www/cgi-bin/bg.gif
[Thu Mar 14 00:29:09 2002] [error] [client 142.66.35.144] script not found or unable to stat: /var/www/cgi-bin/bg.gif
This is something that happens in Netscape 4.xx, I have tried it with Mozilla, Netscape 6 and IE, with positive results to the use of those products. We are a largely Netscape 4.xx site. Any help in resolving this would be excellent and much appreciated.

We are running the latest SqWebmail via rpms that we have made, RH 7.2 with all up2date patches and relevent updates from RH. Courier Imap the latest version with LDAP support for both packages. Sorry about being persistant. The bg.gif is in /var/www/html/webmail/bg.gif, this is indeed found by the rest of the browser products. We know that SqWebmail is in HTML 4.0 is this not supported in Netscape 4.xx, their site says nothing !!!

    Cheers,

        Aly.
