Hi, I inquired about this several weeks ago. The problem is that courier-imap does not support the ACL extension to the IMAP protocol. This is required by Insight Connector to allow the sharing functionality.
Unfortunately there were no comments from anyone in the know as to the chances of courier-imap ever having the ACL extension. >From looking at the problem myself ACLs could most easily be implemented if used in conjunction with a file system that natively supports ACLs, like for example XFS. Personally I would accept the trade off of having to use XFS (without NFS until ACL support is added there as well) in the short term to gain the 'optional' ACL capability for use with the connector. Still needs a fair bit of work implementing the protocol bits etc. There are also projects to add ACL support to ext2 and ext3 which are now related to the XFS work.
