I notice that if courier sees multiple MX records for a domain with the
same preference, and one of those MX's refuses a connection, courier
does not even try the others. This shows up mainly with Hotmail, whose
MX list is:

5 mx04.hotmail.com
5 mx05.hotmail.com
5 mx06.hotmail.com
5 mx07.hotmail.com
5 mx08.hotmail.com
5 mx09.hotmail.com
5 mx10.hotmail.com
5 mx11.hotmail.com
5 mx12.hotmail.com
5 mx13.hotmail.com
5 mx14.hotmail.com
5 mx15.hotmail.com
5 mx01.hotmail.com
5 mx02.hotmail.com

The problem then is that a message for Hotmail will remain in the
queue for a potentially long time. Other MTAs like Exim, for example,
simply pick another MX and keep trying until one of them accepts the
connection. Is it possible to modifiy courier's esmtp client to try all
the MX's until one succeeds?
