Hi, I've been trying to set up Courier 0.37.3 and was mostly successful. I'm only using the IMAP server and webmail; I use Postfix as my MTA.
So I have some questions. - Is it possible to get Courier-IMAP to use a different location for Maildirs? My mailboxes are in /var/mail/<username>, but it seems $HOME/Maildir is the default. I am short enough of space on my home directory partition that I can't afford to have the mail there :) For now I've used symlinks to get it to work. - I only seem to be able to log into the IMAP server from the server. Otherwise, if I connect from another host, I get an authentication failure. I am using Mutt 1.3.27/1.3.28 and Eudora 5.1. Both seem to properly authenticate with CRAM-MD5. And there is no problem logging into webmail from anywhere. - I really like SqWebMail, it's simple and effective. I was especially impressed to note it had format=flowed support. However I ran into a few problems with the "from" address it generated. It took the form: From: "Nicholas Riley,,(xxx) xxx-xxxx,(xxx) xxx-xxxx" <nicholas@host> instead of what I was expecting: From: "Nicholas Riley" <nicholas@domain> Postfix adds the domain suffix so I end up with: From: "Nicholas Riley,,(xxx) xxx-xxxx,(xxx) xxx-xxxx" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Is there a way of getting SqWebMail to just use the user's full name and not the rest of the GECOS field? Also, can you set the domain (I'd have thought it would use /etc/mailname or something...) or even set the "from" address per-user? It seems the last two questions might be related, possibly the IMAP server is getting the wrong hostname too? I didn't see any mentions of these problems in the changelog, but if any of these are fixed in 0.38.0 I can try to upgrade, I was just using the Debian packages which have not yet been updated.
